What amounts and for how long do I use Best in Show?
For dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and “pocket pets”:
Newborns: 1-2 cc for 7 days
In the newborn animal, it is essential to give Best in Show, as it will immediately stimulate appetite. This will allow even a runt in a litter to begin eating and reduce the risk of losing an animal to malnutrition
Growing Phase: 2 cc once per week for the first three months
Throughout the growing phase Best in Show will allow the introduction of healthy micro-flora in the digestive system, ensuring that the animal gets all the nutrition it needs in this critical stage of life
Changing Conditions: 1 cc per 10 lbs or 4 kg of body mass
Before and after periods of environmental or nutritional changes, or during antibiotic therapy
For reptiles:
Growth and Maintenance: Administer ½ cc to 1 cc 12 to 24 hours before feeding and 2 to 12 hours after feeding. Place paste on food or directly into the mouth of the reptile.
For Birds:
Indications: Recommended as a part of a management program for birds and reptiles subject to changing environmental or nutritional conditions or after antibiotic therapy.
Hand Feeding Birds: Combine with animal’s food and place directly in mouth or feeding syringe.
Administer ½ cc on days 1, 2, 3, and 4 and then twice per week until health is restored.
Growth and Maintenance: Administer ½ cc twice per week for 3 months then every other week. Use ½ cc for small species and 1cc for large species.
Changing Conditions: Administer 1cc before and during and 1cc day after periods of environmental or nutritional changes. Use levels recommended above.
